With that in mind, here are some of the questions we are frequently asked by our clients:
How Do I Clean and Maintain My Blinds or Shutters?
How you clean your window treatments depends on what sort of material they’re made out of. Some need to dusted or spot-cleaned, or even vacuumed, regularly. While wood can be severely damaged by things like water and soap, other materials can be completely immersed in water and soap without any problems. Every material requires different kinds and different levels of care, and our experts will make sure that you know how to properly care for any products we provide you with.
We also offer professional cleaning services for any blinds, shades, or shutters in your Dayton home.
Which Treatments are Best for Specialty Windows?
Typically, shutters are the best choice for any specially designed windows because they can be designed specifically for your windows. They also offer a sophisticated appearance that can be a great match for any specialty windows. As an established shutter company, we can help you find the perfect shutters for any room or any windows.
What is the Difference Between Real Wood and Faux Wood?
Wood blinds are typically made from basswood, which is a good option because it’s extremely durable but also lightweight. Cedar pines are also frequently used, and they have natural knots and grains that can be very attractive. Wood blinds need to be cared for properly in order to last, but they also typically come with a four to ten year warranty.
Faux wood blinds look and feel like real wood, but they’re much more easily cared for and much more difficult to damage. Our faux wood panels are reinforced with an aluminum core to help make them more durable.
